We are seeking committed and experienced SEN Tutors to provide tailored support to young people in the Peterborough area. This is a highly rewarding role offering the opportunity to positively influence both the academic progress and emotional wellbeing of students with Special Educational Needs.
- Location: Peterborough
- Position: SEN Tutor
- Hours: Approx. 2-30 Hours/week
- Rate: £25.00 - £35.00 p/hr
- Contract: Ongoing
The successful candidates will:
* Plan and deliver engaging, structured lessons in core subjects
* Deliver tailored tutoring sessions to students who may have a range of needs including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, ASD and other profiles
* To ensure the pupils feel safe and secure, ensuring their well-being
* Build positive and professional relationships with students and families
* Support students' confidence, emotional regulation, and engagement with learning
* Track the learning progress of the student to achieve their desired learning outcomes and being able to provide monthly reports to parents and or teachers.
Requirements
* A UK recognised teaching qualification
* Demonstrable experience supporting children or young people with SEN ( ideally 2 years )
* Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule effectively
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
