SENCO
The Role:
As SENCO, you will play a key role in leading and managing the school’s SEND provision, ensuring that pupils with additional needs receive the support they need to thrive both academically and socially.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading on SEND provision across the school in line with the SEND Code of Practice
* Identifying and supporting pupils with special educational needs
* Writing, reviewing and managing EHCPs and SEN support plans
* Working closely with teachers, support staff, parents, and external agencies
* Monitoring progress and ensuring appropriate interventions are in place
* Providing guidance and support to staff to promote inclusive practice
* Contributing to safeguarding and pastoral support where required
The Ideal Candidate:
* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Holds the National Award for SEN Coordination
* Has previous experience working as a SENCO in a primary setting
* Has a strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice
* Is organised, proactive, and confident working collaboratively
* Is passionate about inclusive education and pupil wellbeing
