A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated SEND Teacher to join a supportive school in Stretford. This role involves leading a KS1 class of 10 pupils, supported by three experienced Teaching Assistants, providing a strong staff-to-student ratio and a highly supportive classroom environment.
The school is looking for a teacher who is committed to supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and who can create an inclusive, structured and engaging learning environment where every child can succeed.
π©π« The Role
β¨ Lead a KS1 SEND class of 10 pupils with the support of 3 Teaching Assistants
β¨ Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
β¨ Support pupils working towards EHCP targets
β¨ Create a safe, nurturing and structured learning environment
β¨ Work closely with support staff, SENCO and external professionals
β¨ Monitor progress and celebrate pupilsβ achievements
β¨ Promote confidence, independence and positive behaviour
β About You
π Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
π Experience working with pupils with SEND (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH or complex needs)
π‘ Creative, patient and adaptable teaching approach
π₯ Strong leadership and communication skills to manage a small classroom team
π Understanding of EHCPs and differentiated learning
