SEN Teaching Assistants – Northwest and North London | Full-Time & Daily Supply Options

Location: Brent, Barnet, Camden, Islington and Harrow

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Flexible – Full-Time and Daily Supply options available

Salary: From £80 – £110 per day (dependent on experience)

SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time or Supply Opportunities - Northwest London

Are you a compassionate, resilient and committed SEN Teaching Assistant looking for your next role? We are working with highly supportive SEND Schools that are expanding their teams. Multiple positions are available, from long-term roles to flexible day-to-day supply.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist environment that supports pupils with a wide and complex range of needs and takes a therapeutic, holistic approach to education.

About the Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

* Support pupils with a range of needs including Autism (ASC), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), PMLD, SEMH and communication needs

* Work across EYFS–KS5, adapting to both 1:1 and small-group support

* Help implement individual EHCP targets and personalised learning programmes

* Use non-punitive, trauma-informed behaviour support strategies

* Assist with communication tools such as PECS, visual timetables, sensory regulation and AAC (training can be provided)

* Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and behaviour support teams

* Promote independence, confidence and engagement in learning

* Support with personal care or mobility needs where required (training provided)

What We’re Looking For

* Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (school, care, residential or youth work backgrounds all welcome)

* A calm, patient and adaptable approach

* Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team

* An understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice

* A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
