We are looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Oxford, working closely with students who have complex learning and communication needs.
The Role
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will provide individualised support to students, helping them access learning, develop their independence and enjoy a positive experience at school.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing 1:1 and small-group support to students with PMLD and complex needs.
Supporting students with their learning, communication and personal development.
Using a range of communication approaches, including visual aids, symbols and sensory-based activities.
Helping students engage with classroom activities and the wider school environment.
Supporting students with personal care and mobility where required.
Working closely with teachers, therapists and other professionals to deliver personalised support.
Promoting students' confidence, independence and wellbeing.
Creating a calm, safe and nurturing environment where every student can thrive.
About You

A strong team player with excellent communication skills.
Previous experience working with PMLD, complex SEND, autism or severe learning difficulties is highly desirable, although relevant transferable experience will also be considered.
