The Senior Electrochemist will be responsible for:
Leading electrochemical testing and validation activities for advanced battery materials and cell technologies.
Designing and implementing test methodologies for cylindrical, pouch and prismatic cell formats.
Defining equipment requirements and supporting the development of testing capabilities within the facility.
Conducting and interpreting galvanostatic charge/discharge, cyclic voltammetry (CV), EIS, rate capability and cycle-life studies.
Coordinating validation programmes, including oversight of third-party testing activities.
Analysing electrochemical data to identify performance improvements and degradation mechanisms.
The Senior Electrochemist will have:
A PhD in Electrochemistry, Chemistry, Physics or a related discipline.
Industrial experience within battery manufacturing, a gigafactory environment or an independent testing organisation.
Hands-on experience testing cylindrical, pouch and prismatic battery cells.
Expertise in electrochemical characterisation techniques, including galvanostatic testing, CV, EIS and cycle-life analysis.
Experience assembling and testing battery cells.
Strong data analysis and interpretation skills.
