Apply NowWe’re seeking an experienced Senior Estimator with a strong background in civil engineering projects within the rail sector, particularly in drainage, utilities, and associated infrastructure works. You’ll play a pivotal role in developing accurate and competitive tenders for projects across the South East, working closely with our pre-construction, engineering, and delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for civil engineering and rail infrastructure projects.
* Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to assess scope and risk.
* Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to gather cost data and technical information.
* Develop BOQs, take-offs, and cost breakdowns for drainage and utilities packages.
* Identify value engineering opportunities and support bid strategies.
* Support tender presentations and negotiations.
* Mentor junior estimators and support continuous improvement within the estimating team.
About You
* Estimating experience within civil engineering or rail infrastructure.
* Proven experience in drainage, utilities, and earthworks estimation
* Strong understanding of NR (Network Rail) standards and rail site constraints.
* Will consider Senior Estimator without rail experience but must have experience on relevant experience in other civil fields.
