Francesca’s Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join a respected and growing engineering consultancy based in Chesterfield. This role is ideal for a technically strong engineer who enjoys working across multiple residential projects and contributing to high‑quality, efficient structural design.
Key Responsibilities
*
Lead structural design work across residential developments
*
Produce safe, compliant and cost‑effective engineering solutions
*
Review drawings, calculations and technical documentation
*
Collaborate with Clients, Developers and internal teams
*
Support and mentor junior engineers
*
Manage workloads effectively to meet project deadlines
Essential Requirements
*
Minimum 3 years’ structural engineering experience within the UK
*
Strong background in the residential sector
*
Master’s degree in Structural Engineering (chartered or working toward chartership with ICE/IStructE)
*
Excellent knowledge of Eurocodes, British Standards and Building Regulations
*
Proven experience designing in reinforced concrete, steel, timber and masonry
*
Understanding of geotechnical principles and foundation design
*
Competent in AutoCAD 2D, with experience using Tekla Tedds and Masterseries
*
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
*
Ability to work independently and within a small team
*
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
*
Right to work in the UK
