Senior Structural Engineer
Are you looking for a senior structural engineering role that doesn’t include hands on design?
You will play a key role in assessing and advising on the structural condition of existing buildings. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team including fire engineers, building surveyors and architects, you will investigate structural defects, analyse building performance and provide clear engineering recommendations.
Your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out structural condition surveys and site inspections
Leading intrusive investigations and opening-up works
Diagnosing structural defects and identifying root causes
Producing technical structural reports and assessments
Supporting FRAEW, PAS 9980 and Building Safety Case submissions
Undertaking feasibility studies and remediation options appraisals
Providing structural advice on refurbishment, strengthening and remediation projects
Reviewing contractor or specialist structural designs
Working closely with clients and project teams to provide clear engineering advice
The role focuses primarily on assessment, reporting and advisory work on existing structures, with occasional concept-level structural design relating to strengthening or refurbishment
