Service Team Leader - IDVA (Domestic Abuse)

Salary: £31,350 a year

Location: Derbyshire

Hours per week: 37.5

Contract type: Fixed Term

As an IDVA Service Team Leader, you’ll oversee the day-to-day running of our Derbyshire IDVA Service. You’ll work with the service manager to manage and develop the team to work within a multi-agency framework to provide a quality and proactive service to people affected by domestic abuse. You’ll also be responsible for monitoring and developing the service to maintain positive stakeholder relationships.

Job requirements

* Work closely with the Service Manager to ensure customers receive a professional, timely and coordinated service with clear, up-to-date advice on available options.

* Lead on advocacy for customers with criminal justice services, housing, children’s and adult services, and other partner agencies.

* Lead, manage and support a team to deliver trauma-informed, person-centred services, ensuring staff work safely, effectively and efficiently.

* Support daily triage, allocation of cases and high-quality case management, including audits to ensure accurate records and GDPR compliance.

* Manage and resolve escalated customer issues and concerns.

* Monitor outcomes and reporting on case management systems to support service evaluation and stakeholder reporting.

* Participate in the Managers' on-call rota and deputise for the Service Manager when required.

What we’re looking for

* Relevant IDVA qualification or willingness to complete Safelives training.

* A good level of education such as GCSE English and maths, or equivalent.

* Evidence of self-development or formal learning and development in sector skills.

* Minimum 2 years experience of supporting individuals who have

experienced domestic violence, forced marriage or ‘honour-based violence’ in an IDVA role or equivalent.

* Experience in team leadership, supervision and case management.

* An understanding of domestic abuse, including the impact on those affected by it and the legal and practical remedies available to them.

* An understanding of safeguarding issues and procedures and legislation relating to domestic violence.

* Good crisis management skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure and to deadlines.

* IT literate and confident with Microsoft 365 and case management systems.

* DBS check and Police vetting.

* Full UK driving licence with access to own vehicle for work.
