Sewing machinist

We are currently looking for an experienced Sewing Machinist to join a busy garment and textile production environment.

The successful candidate will have experience using industrial sewing machines and be confident working with different fabrics and garments. This is a hands-on role involving stitching, sewing and assembling textile products to a good standard.

Key Responsibilities

* Operating industrial sewing machines

* Using lockstitch and overlock machines

* Stitching and assembling garments and textile products

* Working with different fabrics and materials

* Following sewing instructions and production requirements

* Checking your work to ensure a good quality finish

* Maintaining a clean and organised work area

* Working as part of a busy production team

Requirements

* Previous experience as a Sewing Machinist

* Experience using industrial sewing machines

* Good knowledge of lockstitch and/or overlock machines

* Experience working with garments, fabrics or textiles

* Good attention to detail

* Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment

* Reliable and hardworking
