Shipping Coordinator

Shipping Co-Ordinator - Manchester - Paying 28 - 35k (Depending on experience) + Training + Career Progression

My client a well established Global freight forwarding company based near Manchester Airport, providing Air, Road and Sea freight solutions to customers worldwide, are looking for a Shipping Coordinator to join their operations team.

You’ll receive structured training and support, while working with experienced professionals in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities of the Shipping Coordinator:

* Managing Air, Road and Sea Shipments (Start to Finish)

* Making sure correct export procedures are followed

* Supporting customs processes

* Ensuring documentation is accurate

* Preparing export documentation

* Coordinating with overseas agents

* Tracking shipments

* Acting as the main contact for clients

* Handling key accounts

* Giving updates and resolving problems

* Delivering strong customer service

* Solving delays or issues

* Invoicing

* Cost control awareness

* Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

What We’re Looking for in a Shipping Coordinator:

* Freight forwarding experience

* Knowledge of UK export & customs procedures

* Good geographical knowledge

* Good communication skills (written and verbal)

* Organised, reliable, and eager to learn
