Site Engineer
Role Summary
Working within our business unit, and forming a part of the Operational team, the Senior Site Engineer plays an integral part in delivering schemes to a high standard, on time and budget. Reporting to the Sub Agent, core responsibilities encompass project delivery in line with our lean construction process and effective QESH management.
Responsibilities:
● Setting out, levelling and surveying the construction site
● Ensure compliance with construction drawings and record any variances
● Overseeing quality control
● Ensure Site diaries and allocation sheets are produced
● Keep contemporary records
● Review Cl32 programme with site team
● Monitor subcontractor and supplier performance
● Attend weekly site meetings
● Coordinate with the design manager to ensure that the design activities are visible and that all activities are aligned to support the programme
● Regular review of the Cost to Complete with the project managers/quantity surveyors
● Commitment to their own professional development, and that of others across the Business Unit
● Assistance with the implementation of the BIM Execution Plan when a project requires it
● Other tasks appropriate to the role of Senior Engineer, as identified by the Operations Manager/Senior Project Manager/Project Manager

Requirements
· Experience of working on civil engineering/highways projects
· Previous experience working on National Highways projects is preferable, but not essential
· Strong communication skills
