Working Pattern: Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities

As part of the Fostering Team, you will:

*

Undertake viability assessments and comprehensive fostering assessments for prospective Foster Carers, Special Guardians, Connected Person Foster Carers, and Private Foster Carers.

*

Prepare and present reports and recommendations to Foster Panel and the Court where required.

*

Support the recruitment of foster carers by responding to enquiries and conducting initial screening visits to assess suitability.

*

Deliver training to prospective and existing foster carers in line with service requirements.

*

Participate in the fostering duty rota, providing support to foster carers and helping ensure children are placed locally with available foster families.

What We're Looking For

*

Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.

*

Experience within Children's Services, particularly in fostering or assessment work.

*

Strong assessment, report writing, and presentation skills.

*

Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a supportive team.

*

Commitment to achieving positive outcomes for children and families.
