Global Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Metal Dresser to join a well-established engineering client in North Lanarkshire. This is an excellent opportunity to secure consistent work with the potential for a long-term position.
🔨 The Role
You will be responsible for high-quality metal finishing work, including:
* Dressing welds on a variety of metal components
* Using hand tools such as electric grinders, pneumatic grinders, and pad sanders
* Preparing components ready for painting or final finishing
* Ensuring a clean, precise, and high-standard surface finish
* Working with a range of shapes and component sizes
✔ What We’re Looking For
* Minimum 1 year experience in metal dressing or metal finishing
* Confident using grinding and finishing tools
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Ability to read engineering drawings (advantageous but not essential)
* Reliable, hard-working attitude with good workshop awareness
