The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for a Stores & Inventory Operative to join a fast-paced logistics and manufacturing operation based in Milton Keynes. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive individual to become part of a well-structured team supporting production and operational activities.
You will play a key role in ensuring materials and components are received, stored, controlled, and issued accurately and efficiently to support day-to-day production requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Receive, book in, and process goods within agreed timeframes using Sage 200
* Pick and issue materials and components against production and work order requirements
* Maintain accurate stock control using FIFO principles
* Ensure correct storage, traceability, and batch/serial number control
* Carry out cycle counts and stock checks to maintain inventory accuracy
* Support internal logistics activities, including movement of goods between sites
* Assist with goods inward and outward processes
* Maintain high standards of housekeeping and health & safety, including COSHH compliance
* Work collaboratively with production, logistics, and purchasing teams to support operational efficiency
What We’re Looking For
* Previous experience within a stores, warehouse, inventory, or logistics environment
* Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
* Experience using ERP or stock management systems, ideally Sage 200
* Good understanding of stock control processes including FIFO and batch/serial tracking
* Reliable, proactive, and able to work effectively as part of a team
* Good organisational and communication skills
* Forklift licence advantageous but not essential
