Supply Chain Quality Specialist

Location: Filton (minimum 60% onsite)
Contract: Contract until 31/12/2026 (extension possible)

Working Pattern: 35 hours per week | 4.5-day working pattern
Pay Rate:£40.00 per hour Umbrella / £29.89 per hour PAYE

Clearance: BPSS (completed by the Client)
IR35: Inside IR35

The Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Quality Specialist to support their UK Systems & Equipment organisation, with a strong focus on quality, supplier development and industrial maturity. This is a highly autonomous role suited to someone confident working across a complex supply chain environment, influencing stakeholders and driving continuous improvement.

The role is quality-led rather than pure supply chain, with significant exposure to suppliers and operational delivery.

Key Responsibilities

APQP & New Product Introduction

Lead APQP deployment across New Product Introduction, Major Modifications and Transfers of Work
Ensure industrial maturity across end-to-end processes
Act as APQP lead for product changes across Structures, Systems and Fuel EquipmentSupplier Quality & Development

Coach and upskill the Supply Chain Quality Manager (SCQM) community
Support suppliers through continuous improvement and Supplier Business Improvement Plans
Act as focal point for supplier APQP self-assessments and improvement actionsQuality Tools & Methodologies

Drive standardisation of quality tools and ways of working
Facilitate and support robust problem-solving using PPS methodologies
(e.g. 8D, 9S, Ishikawa, 5 Whys)Operational Support

Support complex supplier quality issues impacting production and delivery
Contribute to corporate and industrial maturity assessments
Work closely with internal quality and programme teams

Essential Experience & Skills

Strong background in Supply Chain Quality, not pure supply chain
Proven APQP leadership experience
Experience supporting Transfers of Work and industrial implementation
Solid knowledge of quality tools, techniques and methodologies
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work autonomously and proactively drive change
