Job Title: Teaching Assistant (with 1:1 responsibility)
Pay Rate: £95.31 - £98.62 per day
Location: Balsall Heath
Hours: 32.5 hours per week, term-time only

Smart Education is currently recruiting for multiple Teaching Assistants to support a specialist educational provision in Balsall Heath. One of the roles will include 1:1 pupil support responsibility. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a nurturing, inclusive setting dedicated to supporting children with a range of special educational needs (SEN).

Job Requirements for this Teaching Assistant role in Balsall Heath:

Minimum Level 2 qualification (Level 3 desirable)

Experience working with young people with SEN in a school or care setting

Strong communication skills and a compassionate, positive approach

Ability to work both 1:1 and with small groups of pupils

Understanding of how to support independence, self-esteem, and inclusion

Committed to safeguarding and promoting pupils’ welfare

Role Responsibilities:

Work alongside class teachers to raise pupil engagement and achievement

Support pupils with learning activities, including those with EHCPs

Deliver personalised interventions and track pupil progress

Foster positive relationships with pupils, promoting confidence and independence

Provide targeted 1:1 support where required

Support social, emotional, and behavioural development

Ensure pupils feel included, supported, and safe in the learning environment
