We are working with a specialist engineering manufacturer seeking a Trainee Fabricator Welder to join their growing workshop team in Northamptonshire. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their fabrication career to develop hands-on skills within a high-quality precision manufacturing environment.
Full training will be provided, with the role developing into a Junior Fabricator/Welder position focused on fabrication and welding once fully trained.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation of fabrication kits and components
Form welding of tubes and fabricated parts
Polishing and finishing metal components
Basic fabrication and welding of sub-assemblies
Working from engineering drawings
Supporting workshop organisation and maintenance
Assisting with goods in/out and stock handling
Requirements
GNVQ or equivalent in Fabrication & Welding
Basic MIG/TIG welding skills
Ability to read basic fabrication drawings
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Desirable
Previous workshop or manufacturing experience
Interest in automotive or mechanical engineering
Position Details
Full-time, permanent
Pay up to £13.50 per hour
Based in Northamptonshire
Practical welding and workshop assessment required as part of the interview process
