Start your career in financial services

Have you recently finished university, or are you looking to move into financial services from customer service, retail, hospitality, sales or another customer-facing role?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading UK wealth management company and gain valuable experience within a professional financial-services environment.

You do not need a degree or previous financial-services experience. Full training will be provided, and we are looking for people with strong communication skills, a positive attitude and the confidence to speak with customers over the telephone.

The position will initially run until the end of March 2027, but strong performers will have a genuine opportunity to be considered for permanent employment.

The role

As a Trainee Financial Services Executive, you will contact existing clients to discuss important matters relating to their accounts and ensure they receive the appropriate support.

Approximately 80% of the role will involve outbound calls, with the remaining 20% covering inbound enquiries and associated administration. These are conversations with existing clients rather than cold sales calls.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Making outbound calls to existing clients

* Handling inbound telephone enquiries

* Listening carefully and explaining information clearly

* Supporting clients with potentially sensitive or detailed queries

* Updating customer records accurately

* Managing follow-up actions and keeping clients informed

* Working with other departments to resolve enquiries

* Learning about investments, pensions and financial services

* Following internal processes and regulatory requirements

Who we are looking for

We would like to hear from you if you:

* Are confident speaking with people over the telephone

* Have strong customer service and communication skills

* Can show empathy, patience and professionalism

* Are comfortable working in a busy, target-driven environment

* Have good attention to detail

* Are confident using computers and learning new systems

* Are reliable and able to maintain good attendance

* Want to develop a long-term career in financial services

Previous experience in customer service, retail, hospitality, sales, administration or a contact centre would be helpful, but it is not essential. Applications are equally welcome from university leavers and people looking to change careers.

What’s on offer

* Salary of £26,437

* Potential contract completion bonus of approximately £3,500, subject to meeting performance and attendance requirements

* Monday-to-Friday working hours with no weekends

* Full training and ongoing support

* Experience with a leading UK wealth management company

* Exposure to investments, pensions and financial planning

* A genuine opportunity for strong performers to secure permanent employment

* A clear entry route into the financial-services industry
