Overview
Plan and manage daily transport operations to meet service and performance targets.
Ensure full compliance with transport legislation, health & safety, and regulatory standards.
Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, driver hours, and licensing.
Lead, support, and develop the transport team to ensure high performance.
Communicate effectively with internal teams, customers, and external partners.
Monitor transport performance and introduce improvements across routes and processes.
Resolve transport-related issues quickly and effectively to maintain operational continuity.Requirements
Valid CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) is required.
Previous experience in a transport management role.
Strong leadership and organisational skills.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
A background in transport planning is desirable but not essential.
Knowledge of transport scheduling tools and management software is advantageous.
Full UK driving licence.Salary and benefits
£40,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00
23 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays
