Vehicle Damage Assessor

kolt recruitment are looking for a VDA (Vehicle Damage Assessor) for a leading accident repair centre based in Watford. This is a great opportunity for an experienced VDA to join a well-established bodyshop with a strong reputation for quality and customer service. You’ll play a key role in assessing vehicle damage, liaising with insurers, and ensuring repairs are carried out efficiently and to a high standard.
Key responsibilities:

* Accurately assess vehicle damage and prepare repair estimates using Audatex or similar systems

* Liaise with insurance companies, engineers, and customers throughout the repair process

* Identify additional damage and update estimates accordingly

* Ensure all work is compliant with manufacturer and industry standards

* Work closely with workshop and parts departments to ensure smooth workflow

* Maintain excellent customer communication and service levels

Requirements:

* Previous experience as a VDA / Estimator within an accident repair centre

* Strong knowledge of repair methods, vehicle construction, and estimating systems (Audatex preferred)

* ATA accreditation (desirable but not essential)

* Excellent communication and organisational skills

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
