Waking Night Support Worker

Durham | £17-£20 per Hour

We are recruiting Waking Night Support Workers to provide overnight support to a young person with SEND and additional needs.

As a Waking Night Support Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the individual's safety, wellbeing and comfort throughout the night.

Responsibilities

Maintaining a safe overnight environment.
Providing reassurance and emotional support.
Monitoring wellbeing throughout the shift.
Following care and support plans.
Completing welfare checks as required.
Recording observations and reports.
Supporting routines and individual needs.
Responding appropriately to incidents or emergencies.

What We're Looking For

Essential

Previous care, support or childcare experience.
Strong observation skills.
Reliable and professional approach.
Ability to work lone shifts where required.
Strong safeguarding awareness.

Desirable

Residential childcare experience.
SEND experience.
Autism support experience.
Learning disability support.
SEMH experience.
Medication administration training.
