Apply NowWe are seeking an experienced Industrial Pipe Welder specialising in carbon steel and stainless steel pipework for process, mechanical, and utility systems. The role involves fabricating, welding, installing, and maintaining high‑integrity piping systems in industrial environments. A strong understanding of welding procedures and industrial safety standards is essential. NAECI rates will be in place on this site.
Skills & Qualifications
*
Proven experience as an industrial pipe welder in sectors such as petrochemical, energy, utilities, or heavy engineering.
*
Proficiency in TIG and MMA welding on carbon and stainless steel pipework.
*
Ability to weld to coded standards (BS EN ISO 9606 or ASME IX preferred).
*
Strong understanding of metallurgy, heat control, and weld preparation.
*
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and isometrics.
*
Knowledge of industrial safety standards, permit‑to‑work systems, and risk assessments.
*
Experience with pipe fabrication, alignment, and fit‑up.
*
Relevant qualifications such as NVQ, City & Guilds etc
