The Role
As a TIG / MMA Welder, you will be responsible for:
Carrying out welding operations to radiographic standards
Conducting routine equipment inspections
Following established welding procedures and safety regulations, including fume control requirements
Identifying and reporting welding defects or potential issues
Ensuring weld traceability and quality control through weld identification practices
Completing all relevant quality documentation in line with project requirements
Maintaining high standards of workmanship and compliance at all times
What We're Looking For
Successful candidates will have:
Proven experience welding to radiographic standards
Experience welding a variety of materials, particularly:
Carbon Steel
Austenitic Stainless Steel
Strong understanding of quality standards and welding procedures
Ability to work safely and effectively in a highly regulated environment
Required Qualifications
Applicants must hold one of the following:
Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma in Welding, Fabrication, or a related discipline
Completed Welding Apprenticeship
Equivalent recognised apprenticeship in a welding discipline
In addition, candidates must hold:
Valid CCNSG Safety Passport
Weld Test Requirements
Candidates will be required to successfully complete practical weld tests to ISO 9606 standards, including:
Carbon Steel Pipe Butt Weld (TIG)
Stainless Steel Pipe Butt Weld (TIG)
Multi-Pass Fillet Welds using MMA and TIG welding processes
Structural and pipe welding assessments in relevant welding positions
