Rising Hope Education are delighted to be supporting a truly beautiful and highly regarded primary school in the Borough of Havering in their search for a Year 2 Teacher to cover maternity leave from the 1st of May through to the end of the academic year.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a welcoming, well-resourced school with a strong sense of community and a leadership team that genuinely values and supports its staff. For the right teacher, there is scope for this role to continue into September, offering longer-term stability and progression.

The Role

You will take full class responsibility for a Year 2 class, delivering engaging and structured lessons that support pupils in reaching their full potential during a key stage in their learning journey.

You will be:

Planning and delivering high-quality lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
Supporting pupils as they approach the end of Key Stage 1
Creating a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment
Working collaboratively with colleagues and support staff
Monitoring progress and adapting teaching to meet individual needs

What We Are Looking For

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2
A confident and organised classroom practitioner
Strong behaviour management and classroom presence
A passion for delivering high-quality teaching and supporting pupil progress
