Year 4 Behaviour Teaching Assistant

Pay: £105 - £125 per day

About the Role
Long Term Futures are seeking a Behaviour Teaching Assistant to support a Year 4 pupil with behavioural needs in a welcoming and supportive primary school in Waltham Forest.
This is a long-term role starting immediately, ideal for someone with strong behaviour management skills who can build positive relationships and provide consistent support throughout the school day.
You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support a pupil who requires additional behavioural support. The class also includes pupils with Autism (ASD) and Speech and Language needs, so experience supporting children with additional needs would be highly beneficial.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 support for a Year 4 pupil with behavioural needs
Implement behaviour strategies and support positive engagement with learning
Support the wider class where needed, including pupils with ASD and Speech & Language needs
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to follow behaviour and support plans
Encourage positive social interactions and emotional regulationAbout the School

Previous experience working with children with behavioural needs, SEN, or in a school setting
Restraint training is preferred but not essential
Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, patient approach
Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staffApplications are especially welcomed from candidates with degrees or backgrounds in Psychology, Speech and Language, Youth Work, Mental Health, Education, or related fields.
